Due to recent changes, driving instructors can no longer book tests on behalf of pupils; therefore, following these guidelines is essential to prevent scheduling conflicts and booking errors that I would have previously managed for you.
Tests must only be booked after we have discussed your progress together.
Tests must only be booked at the test centre(s) we have discussed.
Tests must only be moved after we have discussed it together.
I will help you estimate a realistic (but not guaranteed) timescale for when you could be at the required test standard.
2. My Availability Grid
To avoid booking a test I cannot attend, please only look for tests with a START TIME within these specific windows:

Try to book a test that is close to your usual lesson day and time. This helps keep your routine consistent and ensures I am already available in that time slot.
3. Enter My Instructor Reference Number
When booking on the GOV.UK website, you MUST enter my reference number to prevent scheduling clashes with other pupils:

By entering this number, the system helps prevent double-bookings.
4. Notice Periods & The “Rule of Two”
I require at least 4 weeks’ notice for any new test bookings or changes. If you book with less notice, I may not be able to accommodate you due to existing commitments.
DVSA only allows you to move a test twice. If you try to move it a third time, the system will force a full cancellation.
If you book a test for a time when I am not available, you will need to reschedule it. This will count as one of your two allowed “swaps,” so please check the grid carefully before clicking confirm.
